The practice possesses a 1.7 m Endoscope which allows us to visualize both the upper and lower respiratory tracts of horses, ponies and foals including the guttural pouches. This allows us to investigate any abnormal respiratory noise and any abnormal nasal discharge or coughing in a horse.
We can also take a tracheal wash which involves sampling the discharge from the lungs and submitting this for laboratory analysis to check for signs of respiratory disease and the bacteria involved.
We are also able to endoscope bladders to investigate urinary problems.
